Recent visit to the Caen Hill Locks triggered precious memories of our adventures but also saddened me as we were supposed to have our next narrowboat holiday there. You had such keen interest and were so knowledgeable about waterways. I will never forget the way you explained the engineering behind how the canal locks work during one of our first dates. You are forever in my heart - my wonderful husband, mentor and soulmate.
